Swing time

We made use of our baby swing. All snuggled up with each other, they slept thru the whole swinging experience. They look so peaceful.

Clicky Clacky Hip

March 29th...Keira had a slight hip click at birth, so the pediatrician wanted her to see a specialist. So we hopped in the car, drove to Glenview, waited for an hour and a half, saw the doctor for 3 minutes, and were done. He said that it seemed normal and follow up in about 2 months.

Wolves game

March 28th...It was a Daddy, Papa and Max night out. They went out to a Chicago Wolves game. This was the 2nd game they went to; Max loved it and Daddy became an avid fan. It was spring break from school and they didn't get home until after 10:00. Notice their matching jerseys.

Sleepy time

I am beginning to think these children are not going to wake up. Connor will stay alert more than Keira. All she wants to do is eat and sleep. I keep waiting for the shoe to drop and these babies to be the problems that everyone says twins are. I am so grateful that they are this laid back already.

Max's new bike

Max grew out of his bike from last year, so Papa took Max and Bill to the Schwinn shop and they came home with this new bike for Max. We had a freakish day of 70 degree weather in March, so he enjoyed it.

Back in the hospital again

March 26. What I thought was going to be a quick trip back to the hospital to have my stitches removed, turned into an overnight stay. My blood pressure was so high, they told me I was borderline for having a stroke!! I think it was like 205/110. They gave me some shots, and sent me in for a CT scan. I am happy to say the scan of my head found nothing. :) Once I found out I was staying overnight, Mingma and Papa brought down the kiddies and the babies and Bill stayed with me. Once they regulated my medication, it appeared to come down enough for me to go home. Luckily it has finally subsided and is back to "normal".

Grandma Helloween comes to visit

March 24th -April 5th...After the babies came home, Grandma Pam picked up Great Grandma Helloween (Helene) from Green Bay. She visited for 2 weeks and was a great baby holder when needed. She enjoyed all the kids so much, we are going to attempt to bring them all up to the great U.P. for the 4th of July.

More needles :(

March 23.. The babies had their first pediatrician appointment to check for jaundice. Connor looked a bit yellow but appeared to be fine. Keira on the other hand was sent to the lab for numerous pricks on her foot to make sure she didnt have it. She was fine and didnt have to have a fry light installed at home.

Coming Home

March 22nd, the little wee ones hopped in the car and headed to what they will know as home. The ride home went smoothly. No crying or freaking out. Here they snuggled in and slept until about April.

Introduction of the new additions

On March 19th at 10:08 and 10:10 a.m., life as we knew it had changed. Into the world and entering our family Keira Marie and Connor Michael made their debut. Keira being the oldest came out weighing 5 pounds 8 ounces. Connor being the "baby" came out weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces. Both were born via C-section at Evanston Northwestern Memorial Hospital. By the time we made it to the recovery room, big sister Megan and big brother Max were waiting impatiently to meet their new siblings. Not to mention the grandparents chomping at the bit to see too. We stayed in the hospital for 4 days and made sure to take total advantage of the nursery time so Mommy and Daddy could catch up on some much needed sleep.
