Keira's new do

Here are a couple of shots of Keira with her hair all prettied up. This was the first attempt at putting rubber bands in it. I had all kinds of the velcro bows, but Connor kept pulling them all out of her hair. He never noticed these and left them alone.

Another Maxism

As we were watching the beginning of the Talladega race and they were just starting to sing the National Anthem, Max turns around and says "What's with the theme song?" Well I guess he at least knew it was important and he has heard it before.

Peoria Prairie Air Show

This weekend we packed up the whole fam and jumped in the van for a 3 hour (4 hours depending on who you ask) trip to Peoria for the Prairie Air Show. We got to spend some quality time with some of Bill's extended family, Dan and Mary Ann, Dave and Mary, and Lori and baby Mattie. The air show was great, even though the weather wasn't the best. It started off rainy, foggy and cloudy, but in the end, the sun came out and it started to warm up. The fields were completely muddy and if you were not careful, you could lose a shoe in it. Megan's favorite was the jet powered truck and Max loved seeing the Blue Angels perform.

You can see in the pics that we were trying to get all the babies to cooperate for a picture. That just wasn't happening; you cannot keep Connor down. We had the same issues trying to get the three brothers picture taken too. :)

Also, A BIG Happy Birthday went out to Mom/Mingma on her birthday too!

First bike ride of the year

Since this year's weather hasn't been very cooperative, we FINALLY got to go on a bike ride. I dusted off the bike carrier, hooked it up to my bike and away we went. Max, Keira, Connor, our neighbor Josh and I were off into the upper 60 degree weather. It started off great; the twins loved being in there. They would sit there looking out the windows and chattering away. By the time I got home, things weren't so peachy. Since I only used the lap belt across the two of them, Mr. Connor figured out he could shift himself over and onto Keira's lap. She was not too thrilled. Today, I have to figure out how to use the shoulder harness to keep him strapped down. The older kids never figured out the shifting move that Connor had mastered by the time we got home. Here are a couple pics of us stopping by to say "Hi" to Mingma and Papa. There's a pic of the wagon ride the kids went on yesterday, too.

Connor helps out

Since Keira's walking abilities are not perfected yet, she likes to sit in the cozy coupe and watch everyone else run around. Connor thought she needed to see some more sites and was showing her how to move.

Chow time

I thought I would share this pic of Keira. Megan was feeding Keira and Connor their yogurt and Keira wouldn't give the spoon back.

Drum roll please...

The twins went in for their one year old check up today. (I know its more like a 13 month check up, but they had colds)

Keira clocked in at 22 lbs and 10 ounces and is 28 1/2 inches long. She falls in the 25th percentile for height and the 60th for weight.

Connor clocked in at 22 lbs even and is 27 inches long. He falls in the 3rd percentile for height and the 26th for weight.

Both are right on track for everything and the nurses just love them up in-between shots.

We are still alive...

Its been hectic around here the past couple weeks, and I havent had time to post anything. Max made it home safe and sound (and with all toes intact). He said he had a wonderful time playing with Claire and Maddie. He would like to thank Aunt Katie and Uncle Phil for entertaining him and especially for visiting Uncle Phil's plane. Thanks also go out to Mingma and Papa for taking him along for the visit. Here are some pics that Max took along the way with his camera.(also some that others took too)

Belt test

On Saturday Bill had a belt test for Tae Kwon Do. Megan went to cheer him on! I don't have any pictures of him taking the test, but this is what he came home with :)
Megan should be up for testing by June:)

More rat pics

I thought since everyone just loved the rat, I would post some more pics :)
By the way, its name is Princess. The gate also attracted some other "rats" too :)

Warm weather

We finally had a decent day of weather, so the kids went outside to play. Since Keira isn't walking, she spent most of her time sitting in the Cozy Coupe. Connor on the other hand was checking out everything. He found it very interesting walking around on the grass, he just wasn't sure what to think of the uneven ground. He really enjoyed the outdoors.
